K.D. Harp was born in the little town of Boonville, Missouri in 1971. She is a mom, wife, and teacher by day and an author by night. Her debut novel, The Ex-Boyfriend Handbook, is a fun and funny look at love and dating that has been called a "comic gem" by Kirkus Reviews and a "smartly written debut," a "delightful" book, and "an hilarious page turner," by Publisher's Weekly
Her second novel, What Do You Do With an Ex-Boyfriend? was released in April 2011 and features her alter ego, Sarah Johnson, falling for the new guy in town after she breaks things off with her long-time boyfriend. Her third novel is tentatively scheduled for release in 2014.
